Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what information Brazilian Tape Tanning ("we," "us") collects when you use braziliantapetanning.com or book with us, how we use it, and the choices you have. We do not sell your personal information.

Information we collect

Information you give us

• Contact form: your name, email, phone number (optional), reason for contacting us, and your message.
• Bookings: your name, email, phone, chosen service, date and time, notes, and any promo code.
• Studio intake: at the studio we may collect health and skin information needed to tan you safely. This is kept confidential and used only for your care.

Information collected automatically

• If you accept analytics cookies, a simple count of page visits. See Cookies below.
• Our web host may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) for security and troubleshooting.

How we use your information

• To answer your messages and manage your appointments.
• To send you emails related to your booking or inquiry.
• To keep our services safe, including screening for contraindications.
• To understand how many people visit our Site (only if you accept analytics).
• To meet legal obligations and protect our rights.

We will only send you marketing emails if you ask to receive them, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

How we share information

We share information only with service providers who help us run our business, such as our email provider (Google Workspace) and website hosting provider, and only as needed to provide their services. We may also disclose information if required by law. We do not sell or rent your personal information.

Cookies & similar technologies

Our Site uses your browser's local storage, which works like cookies:

• Essential: remembering your cookie choice, and keeping staff signed in to the studio dashboard. These are needed for the Site to work.
• Analytics (optional): a simple count of page visits, used only if you click Accept. If you click Reject, no analytics are recorded.

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings, or clear your browser's storage.

To protect our booking and contact forms from spam and bots, we use Cloudflare Turnstile. It checks that you're a real person, usually without you doing anything, and may process technical information such as your IP address and browser details. It is used only for security, not advertising.

Our pages also load social media icons from Font Awesome via the cdnjs content delivery network (run by Cloudflare).

Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers. See Google's privacy policy for how it handles that information.

How long we keep information

We keep messages and booking records only as long as needed for the purposes above, generally up to 2 years after your last visit or message, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.

Your choices & rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by contacting us. We'll respond within a reasonable time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable law.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect your information, including password-protected access to our studio dashboard. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

Children

Our services are for adults 18 and older, and our Site is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date shows when it last changed.
